Being a part of Communities In Schools is gratifying on many levels. Board membership includes opportunities to collaborate with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds who share the common goal of improving K-12 experiences. As someone who is invested deeply in educational and social-emotional outcomes of all youth, serving Communities In Schools certainly affords professional reward, but personal growth and reflection as well.
