Deanna Lane (Cherokee Creek Lenape) who is of mixed heritage spent her youth volunteering at the American Indian Community House in New York City where she assisted with art exhibition installation and events. She has been active in the empowerment of communities of color and intertribal communities in the Northeast, Southwest and the Pacific Northwest. Traveling both nationally and internationally is one of her greatest loves – including extensive travel through Nicaragua enjoying the people, the delicious coffee and coffee roasting. Deanna also deeply loves community building through Communities In Schools and other non-profits like Native Arts Collective. Deanna loves spending time with her family.
