Jackie Posner (she/her/hers) is the Site Coordinator at Horizon Middle School. Jackie loves working with youth in a number of different settings, whether it be mentoring youth at Animals as Natural Therapy or providing youth suicide prevention and wellness training with the M.A.D.-H.O.P.E. Youth Suicide Prevention program. She enjoys supporting youth in their unique journeys to adulthood and beyond! Promoting youth mental well-being is a strong interest area for Jackie. After teaching English abroad and studying International Business in Croatia, she came back to Washington state to pursue an interdisciplinary degree at Western Washington University, focusing on a blend of psychology perspectives. After graduating, she completed an AmeriCorps service year at Whatcom Family & Community Network to build community capacity in supporting youth mental health through youth engagement projects. Her love for the important work of civic engagement combined with her interest in holistic health and wellness led her to her current role at CIS to serve students and families. Helping youth find their own pathways to reach their full potential and see their hopes and dreams come to fruition is the work that brings so much joy for Jackie.

In her spare time, Jackie loves to read, cook, recreate outdoors, and spend time with furry friends, especially her sassy kitty, Peaches.
