Stephanie Thomas is the Director of Evaluation and Student Learning in the Mount Vernon School District. Stephanie received a B.A. in English from Azusa Pacific University, an M.A. in English Literature from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, Teacher Certification from Western Washington University, and Principal Certification from Seattle Pacific University. Prior to working in Mount Vernon, Stephanie worked as a classroom teacher in the Mount Baker School District and as a classroom teacher and specialist in Bellingham Public Schools. Stephanie is dedicated to being of service beyond her role as a public-school employee. Her years working with students have confirmed her belief that the collective efforts of family, school and community are essential to the healthy development and future success of all of our children, and the ongoing vibrancy of our community. She is committed to the work of ensuring equitable access to social emotional and academic opportunities and supports for all children.
