Osvaldo “Oz” Camarena is the new dedicated Site Coordinator at Mount Vernon High School in the Mount Vernon School District. Osvaldo embodies a profound dedication to human services and a deep-rooted love for his hometown of Mount Vernon, Washington. Raised in this community, Osvaldo has always felt a strong sense of connection and responsibility towards its residents, particularly the youth.
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Services, Osvaldo is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all. He believes in the potential of every individual and is determined to provide the support and resources necessary for their success.
The opportunity to serve as the Site Coordinator at Mount Vernon High School immediately captivated Osvaldo’s attention. He sees the role as a chance to positively impact the lives of students, guiding them through their educational journey with empathy and support. Understanding that each student has their own unique story, Osvaldo is dedicated to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
In addition to his passion for human services, Osvaldo is an avid Star Wars enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his fiancé and dog, Vader, watching and re-watching all of the Star Wars films.
With his warm-hearted demeanor, and the belief that younger people are the key to shaping a better future, Osvaldo is poised to make a significant and lasting impact as the Site Coordinator at Mount Vernon High School.
